We work to make sure every aspect of our salon and shop is as sustainable and ethical as possible.
Carbon neutral haircuts
We offset the carbon footprint of running our salon and shop using the Cloverly app. We hope to achieve carbon neutrality by the end of 2021.
We donate 1% of retail sales to Grand Trees Climate Solutions, a Toronto-based tree-planting organization.
Good for your hair, good for your health
We use paraben and sulphate-free and low ammonia products. Our products are plant-based, vegan-friendly and gluten-free. Not only are they kinder on your hair, but they’re better for your health.
We sometimes use bee by-products and oils derived from goats. Just let your stylist know during your consultation if you’d like to skip these products.

Low-Waste and Circular Systems
Beauty without waste
We offer a low-waste beauty experience from the moment you enter the salon right through to your at-home haircare.
To deliver the best service we do rely on some packaging. We’re working hard to minimize the waste we produce at every stage. Here’s how:
We’ve dramatically reduced our waste by opting for hair and cleaning products in refillable bottles. We package orders from our online shop securely yet minimally. We use compostable, reusable mailers, recyclable boxes, and recyclable protective materials. Each is clearly labelled so you know what to do with it when you’re done.
Bring your empty shampoo and conditioner bottles into the salon for a refill and a 10% discount.
Or, return your empties and we’ll recycle them and give you 10% off your next product purchase.
As part of Toronto’s Green Circle Salons initiative, we recycle or repurpose 95% of our salon waste including hair clippings, foils, packaging, and excess colour. In 2019, this amounted to 850lbs of waste (or the weight of one bison).
Giving everyone a good deal
Our drinks and snacks partners are local, sustainable, and ethical. Sip fair trade tea and coffee from Genuine Tea Co and Propeller Coffee Co. Or try a juice from Loop or Greenhouse Juice Co.
