Sustainability & Community
At Queen’s Shop, we believe in a new kind of beauty.
Beauty that harvests the land without harm. Beauty that celebrates individuality.
Beauty that matches your moral code.
“Hi, I’m Alicia.
Early 2015, I founded Queen’s Shop to create a place within the beauty industry where sustainability and community could co-exist. Far from the traditional salon with its egos, gender conformity, and intimidation, we’ve built an inclusive space where you feel safe and supported to be yourself and feel your best.
From our salon’s ethos to our products and packaging, everything we do is about being good to you and good to our planet.
We dream of a future where we’re more connected to each other and to nature. That’s why we stand for authentic beauty, collective humanity, and respect for the environment.
Thank you for being here. We couldn’t do it without you.”
To provide inclusive beauty care the is uniquely styled to the individual, whilst positively impacting the environment and the community.
The standards for sustainable and environmental integrity change as new initiatives and technologies emerge. We will always openly disclose where we are on our sustainability journey, where we’re going, and where we can do better.
Our goal in 2021 was to become a B Corp. This effort was to show that we meet the highest standards of social and environmental policy and mark our entry into a global movement of business as a force for good. We scored 77.3 (only 2.7points away from being certified)! Though we just missed the mark, we are extremely proud of the space we offer our team and community. And we look forward to reapplying when our company is larger and can better handle the documentation demands of a BCorp application.
